Guess how much I got gas for today?

Ok, So I'm not really being very nice to all of you in California as I know gas prices are still high there! But I must brag...I never once paid over $2.99 for gas when the prices were up so high. And now they are lower, (see how they make us think that $2.00 is low, LOL) I just couldn't pass up taking a picture of it today! Now this is at Sam's club, but down the street at Kroger I can get it for $2.09 or $2.06 with your Kroger card. Just thought I would share...Debbie, this is for you, for all the times you have called me from the beach to rub it in!!! :)

Introducing the newest member of our family...Superbear Elijah!!

O Faster than a speeding bullet. More powerful than a locomotive. Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound. Look, up in the sky! It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s Superbear Elijah! Yes, it’s Superbear Elijah, strange visitor from another planet who came to earth with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men...AND HE LIVES AT OUR HOUSE!!!
Elijah has been giddy with excitement to get to have his own "Build-a-Bear" and today was THE day. Thanks to Uncle David, Aunt Debbie and Kelsey, Elijah had a gift card and away we went. Expecting to fight mobs of citizens in the Build-a-Bear store, we drove with great anxiety and expectation. But, thankfully most folks had better things to do than to tangle with the latest crime fighter on the planet.
Elijah picked out a really soft velvet teddy bear and off we went to "have his guts put in." (That is what I said and aparently offended some ladies who were there with their kids...loosen up the old sphincter muscles folks!) Once stuffed, he was dressed and didn't even have to go to a phone booth. As you can see from the pictures, he is adorable. Elijah loves him and made sure we knew it as he went to bed tonight. "Mommy, I really love my bear!" And we, the family, sleep better at night knowing that if there is trouble anywhere, Superbear is there...

Off the Charts!

Yep, Elijah is off the charts! We visited the pediatrician today for his annual check up! Ok, we've always known this guy was a big kid, but we had no idea we were going to learn today that he is in the 97th percentile in height and he is off the charts in weight! My first concern was that we needed to put him on a diet! "No", said the doctor. Just keep him away from too much fast food, watch the juice intake and keep him active! So activity is the plan! He loves to play outside anyway so as long as the weather holds up, he'll be active!

Isaac had a great Soccer Day!!!

Even though they do not keep score in this age group for soccer, Isaac's team won hands down today!!! And the best part? Isaac scored 2 of the 6 goals!!! He is so proud of himself. I wish I could show you his victory dance! He has so much rhythm! Here is a picture of him on the field. He's the one in the beige shorts, still haven't bought him the black shorts that all the other kids are wearing. He doesn't seem to care, but that is a purchase I plan on making this week. It's in the budget, in case anyone was wondering!

We had thought about going to Build-A-Bear today, but decided to wait until this next week. We just have too much going on today after all.

It's cousin Nathan's 6th birthday and they are on their way to Kansas City to see a Royals game tomorrow! Nathan is so excited to go! I can't wait to see pictures of him with that big grin on his face!!

Our Baby Is Now 3!!!

Can this be true? Three years has passed so quickly! Elijah ended up having 2 celebrations. On Tuesday Isaac was sick so we stayed home and later in the day we baked birthday brownies (which is his favorite) and both the boys helped. We wanted Elijah to open at least one present on his birthday so he opened the one from Aunt Lori, Uncle Monte, Ruth & Nathan. He loved his batman! If it's a super hero, he is all over it! On Thursday we celebrated with Chuck E. Cheese! What a treat this is to our boys. We probably only go about 3 times a year, so it truly is a treat. About 150 tokens, 3 pizzas, drinks and 3 hours later our visit was complete. We celebrated with our friends, Denise, Jonathan, Zach, Spencer & Nathan. Daddy found the perfect birthday cake for him from Kroger. A chocolate Football cake! He couldn't have been more thrilled to have this!!! What did he get for his birthday you ask? A 15 inch robot and 8 inch Superman from mommy & daddy; a football game from Isaac; the Batman from the Monte Lalli's; Sponge Bob pj's, Lightening McQueen shirt, CD player & Kohl's giftcard from Nana & Papa Lyons; Lightening McQueen sweatsuit & Thomas the Tank video with Thomas train car from Grandma & Papaw Lalli; Walmart Giftcard from Uncle B & Luc; Money from Grandma & Grandpa Sweeney; & last but not least A Build-A-Bear Giftcard from Uncle David, Aunt Debbie & Kelsey. He will be very excited to get to do this! He was so upset when Isaac got his and he didn't get to make one. We may try to go today, but our day is pretty full already.
